I was very fortunate to achieve success at a young age, in a time before the internet and social media—when building a career meant my family having to drive hours to the big city of Toronto, Ontario, to audition in person for casting directors, directors, and producers.

After training in theatre school for twelve straight summers, I soon began working alongside many A-list movie celebrities. I was a lead on five different television series. I moved to LA and my career took me around the world on countless adventures. I won a Gemini Award, was nominated twice, and starred in a prime-time sci-fi series that ran for five seasons and aired in over 150 countries.

But the best performance I ever gave was for a part I never got...

The Boundless Reach Approach

The techniques we teach stem from four and a half decades of training and industry experience working as an award-winning leading actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker. After twelve consecutive summers in theatre school, I began working professionally at a young age—eventually leading five television series, working with A-list actors, and traveling the world.

But even with that early foundation, it still took many years to fully understand what would become the core of my process: the importance of making strong choices. Looking back, I can see a clear difference between the characters I played relying solely on natural instinct and the ones I invested real time and work into—understanding why my intuition led me where it did and inspiring myself to consider other possibilities.

Our process blends long-established tools from greats like Uta Hagen, Stanislavski, and Meisner with my own methods and exercises developed through decades of experience. It’s built to help performers discover the stronger choices available to them—choices that are bold, specific, and personal.

Whether a learner is just starting out or already deep into their career, the goal is the same: to help them uncover what’s unique in themselves and bring that to the role. This is the only way to compete. The bonus is that when they dig deeper, their confidence grows—because they become more excited about sharing their discoveries through the craft and less self-judgmental. They stop flying blind. They begin to make deliberate, connected choices that serve both the story and their own strengths.

For adult and continuing students, this becomes even more important. The competition is real. Rejection is common. And even success built on raw, intuitive talent can leave you falling behind when you’re up against so many others doing the work.

Whether you’re considering a rewarding Scene Study class to gain deeper insight and greater versatility, or a playful Improv class to become more open, spontaneous, and collaborative—Boundless Reach has the same goal: to offer an approach that builds a deeper, more meaningful connection to the craft—and to yourself.

When you learn to be your own gauge, to trust your instincts and support them with the work, you stop measuring your worth by external results. You gain the ability to show up at 100%, again and again, with clarity, confidence, resilience and joy.
